It is the graduation season and severn students have graduated from Yaolab in 2016. Two graduate students Jiuxun YIN and Xiang LI have successfully received their M.S.degrees in geophysics. Jiuxun will continue his PhD studies at Harvard University and Xiang will work in Aiqiyi, which is one of the leading network media companies in China. Jiuxun also received one of the most prestigious scholarships for graduate students at USTC, that is, the CAS President Scholarship.

Five undergraduate students from Yaolab have successfully defended their theses and received their B.S. degrees in geophysics. Two of them will continue their graduate studies at Caltech (Shuo YANG) and Rice Univ (Sizhuang DENG). And three of them (Yan YANG, Taizi HUANG, Yuyang SHE) will continue to work with me as graduate students at USTC.  Shuo YANG also received the highest scholarship of USTC (Guomoruo Scholarship) for undergraduate students and Yan YANG received the Excellent Undergraduate Thesis Award at USTC.
